I hope you are finding joy and anticipation in the changing seasons, wherever you are in the world. The endless opportunities for pumpkin spice anything certainly whet my hope that cooler weather is on its way to the South.
I’m not entirely sure where September went, except that I know I will never again suggest giving a room a “fresh coat of paint.” It took three people, several days, and untold agony, in the middle of which I looked around and thought, “What have I done.”
The results are lovely, though.
And the experience reminded me that, so often, when we can’t see the finish line for the mess (and there’s no way to go back to the beginning), all we really can do is trust the process. Trust that the next coat of paint will work its magic. Trust that the painstaking measurements (and re-measurements) will put the shelf supports in the right spot. Trust that the IKEA instructions really do know what they’re talking about. (They do. Eventually.)
Trust that, in the end, everything comes together and makes sense, just as you envisioned way back in the very beginning.
Because I’ve been focused on everything else but creating and marketing and entrepreneuring (it’s a verb, right?), September gave me some distance to look at the processes that make up my days. It provided some space for me to evaluate if I’m actually heading in the right direction, and if not, what I want and need to do about it.
That’s why I want to let you know that I am offering some new services for faith-based entrepreneurs, teams, and small business or organizations. If you’re struggling to get key ideas or vital proposals out of your head and onto paper, or feeling like you’ve thoroughly lost the plot when it comes to seeing the connections between abstract ideas and concrete results, I’d love to help!
I offer writing and visual mapping services that amplify and perfect what’s already working for you. As we work together, we’ll find that extra 10-30% of insight, vocabulary, and action that takes you from doing good work to doing your most effective and meaningful work in the world.
I have over twenty years’ experience in working with faith-based non-profits, higher education, and communities in roles that consistently relied on my ability to quickly comprehend complex information and provide concise communication to diverse audiences.
Communicating big ideas is my jam. I’d love to support the work you’re already doing by helping you articulate your best thoughts so that you can make robust connections with your community.
If you’re feeling stuck in a mess like I did in the middle of the room reno, together we can trust the process of finding clarity and making progress toward your goals. I hope you’ll check out my writing and visual mapping services, and consider if you or someone you know might benefit from working with me!
